You might want to match the art style. Part of the beauty of an alter is making the distinctions between the original artwork and the alteration in distinguishable. I like the stylization you've chosen, but perhaps you should pull some of the darks from Jace (as there is no value that dark in your artwork) and rework some of the original work just to marry the styles.
